The Anonymous Composer Relay
A Community Music Collaboration Experiment
Create music together — without knowing whose music it is.
Pass the music on.

Instead of working on “your own” track from start to finish, you’ll take part in a musical relay:
- One person composes
- Another orchestrates or arranges
- A third mixes & masters
Each step is handled by a different person — and anonymously.
You’ll only find out who worked on your piece during the final listening & reveal session on Discord.
How the Relay Works
Step 1 – Composition
- Write a short piece of music
- Deliver it as MIDI / piano roll only
- No sound design, no fancy instruments — just musical ideas
Step 2 – Orchestration / Arrangement
- You receive someone else’s composition
- Your task: give it a sonic identity
- Stay close to the original — or reinterpret it boldly
Step 3 – Mix & Master
- A third person finishes the track
- Balance, polish, and bring the music to life
Final Reveal
At the end of the cycle, we meet on Discord for a listening session:

Expect surprises. And probably a few “wait… THAT was yours?!” moments.
Rules & Boundaries
To keep things fun and fair:
- ⏱️ Each phase lasts max. 2 weeks
- 🎯 Perfect is not the goal — inspiration is
- 🎧 Any genre or style is welcome
- 🕵️♂️ Anonymity is preserved during the process
- 🤝 Respect the material you receive
- 📂 File handling and assignments are managed centrally
